The Monkey Behind The Mask

I’m the monkey behind the mask… gasping, but somehow still alive. Remove the mask… and where am I? I find that the more that I delve into this, the more Smith lyrics surface. How odd.

We all have a theme song, and this one is mine…

“Well I wonder

do you hear me when you sleep?

I hoarsely cry

Well I wonder

do you see me when we pass?

I half-die

Please keep me in mind

please keep me in mind

Gasping – but somehow still alive

this is the fierce last stand of all I am

Gasping – dying – but somehow still alive

this is the final stand of all I am

Please keep me in mind” –The Smiths

I’m the monkey behind the mask… gasping, but somehow still alive. Remove the mask… and where are we now? I find that the more that I delve into this, the more Smith lyrics surface. How odd.

“It’s crucial that we learn, and grow and occasionally lie still.” – Blabpipe

I have often found that while some girls are bigger than others, ultimately it doesn’t matter. The monkey will not remove the mask. It must be cast from him, or strikingly twice removed. That’s how the monkey feels – twice removed.

“There is a light, and it never goes out.” -The Smiths

That light was the monkeys mask; and it went dark as it gently fell to the floor.

I’ve been adding/changing things (which is the Blabpipe way) – so feel free to chime in, let us know what’s going on. 🙂
